Shelley Ellis, CAM - President
Shelley Ellis, CAM started in the industry working for First Capitol Management Group inLittle Rock, Arkansas as a Leasing Consultant in 1998 while attending college at the
University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her studies there consisted of early childhood
education. However, after entering into the apartment industry she found her career in
property management. In 2000, she was promoted to Property Manager with MLP
Investments, LLC and also worked for them as a Regional Marketing Director in 2003
to promote their Arkansas portfolio. In the later part of 2003, she began work as a
Property Manager for Bailey Properties, LLC at Overbrook Apartments in North Little
Rock, Arkansas. She received her Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation in
2009 through the National Apartment Association.
She has been active in the Arkansas Apartment Association for 12+ years and has met
some of her greatest mentors/suppliers through relationships within the association.
Currently she serves as President for 2012. She has gained knowledge of the industry
through a host of events/educational seminars the Arkansas Apartment Association &
National Apartment Association has hosted over the past several years. She has served
as President in 2007 & 2009, Vice President in 2006, 2008, & 2011, Treasurer 2008,
Chair of Education 2010, Chair of Public Relations 2002, Chair of Manager's Council
2003, and Facilitator for the Certified Apartment Manager and National Apartment
Leasing Professional Courses in central Arkansas . She strongly believes in the
importance of the relationships gained through the Arkansas Apartment Association
as well as the volunteer work that has been done through the association with Ronald
McDonald House, Our House, Habitat for Humanity, Angel Tree, Big Brother Big Sisters,
Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure, The CALL Program, Stuff the Sleigh, & CARTI.
She encourages everyone to get involved in the association committees, events, &
volunteer work because it is a priceless opportunity that you will grow and benefit
from personally and professionally.
Bronwynne Brown, CAM, received her Bachelors of Arts in Communications from Bob Jones
University at Greenville, SC, in 1998. Te following year she started in the business as a leasing
consultant for an AIMCO Property. She has been active in the Little Rock market since 2005.
She is currently Property Manager for Heritage Properties at The Palisades at Chenal Valley.
Having had positions from Leasing, Asst Manager, Property Manager, Area Marketing Manager,
and Regional Manager over the last 11 years, she has a wide perspective on property
management. Bronwynne received her CAM designation in 2008 after taking advantage of the
opportunity offered by the Arkansas Apartment Association. After having been very involved in
the Upper State Apartment Association in Greenville, SC, she is excited to be a part of the
Arkansas Apartment Association.
Abby Youngbauer, CAM - Treasurer
Abby started working as a leasing consultant for Bailey Properties in 1998. In 1999 she was
promoted to Leasing Trainer and later on that year to Property Manager. Abby received her
CAM designation in 2000 and continued to work for Bailey Properties till 2003. In August of
2003, Abby began working as a Property Leader for MAA, where she continues to reside at
today.
Abby has been active in the Arkansas Apartment Association for many years. She has been
Co-chair of the Membership Council, Chair of the Manager’s Council, Secretary, and now
Treasurer of the association. “Being apart of such a wonderful association is more rewarding
than you could possibly imagine. You get to meet so many wonderful people.”
Shannon Epperson, NALP - Secretary
Shannon began her career in the apartment industry as aleasing consultant in 1996 at Calais Apartments. She then
began working for the Apartment Blue Book (now known as
The Apartment Finder) in 1999. Shannon left the Apartment
Finder to pursue a District Property Manager position with
LEDIC Management in 2005. In 2006, she worked for Greystar
Management as a Regional Property Manager. Shannon
started working again for the Apartment Finder in September
of 2007, where she currently is employed as a Publisher.
Shannon is married with a 7 1/2 year old son Christopher and
a 1 year old son Parker. She also currently holds a real-estate license with JC Thornton and
Company as well as an NALP designation with the National Apartment Association.
Tom Bynum - Special Events Committee Chair

Tom Bynum began his career in the paint industry in 1987 as Paint Department Manager at National
Home Center in North Little Rock. In 1989 he took a job with The Glidden Paint Company in Little
Rock where he was quickly promoted to Store Manager. While at Glidden he became involved with
the Arkansas Apartment Association in 1997. In 1999 he took a job with Sterling Paint Company in
Little Rock where he became a Sales Representative with his main focus to be on multi-family
business. Since then Tom has worked for Farrell-Calhoun Paint Company, Kwal Paint Company,
and now is an Account Manager with Spectrum Paint Company.
Tom has been involved with the Arkansas Apartment Association since 1997. He has served as a committee
member of the Membership Committee, Trade Show Committee, Special Events Committee, Associates Council
Chairperson, Secretary, Vice President, and President in 2004 and 2005. He is currently Chairperson of the
Special Events Committee.
Tom has said "I have made some great friends and good business contacts while being involved with the Apartment
Association and would tell anyone interested in becoming a member to do so!!!"
Abby Youngbauer, CAM - Special Events Co-Chair
Abby started working as a leasing consultant for Bailey Properties in 1998. In 1999 she waspromoted to Leasing Trainer and later on that year to Property Manager. Abby received her

Rebecca Harris - Associates Council Chair
Rebecca grew up in Plano, TX, where she began her
journey in the business world. At the age of 25 she
moved to Hot Springs, AR and began her education
at Garland County Community College where she
received her Associates in Accounting. She worked in
the car business as a title clerk, then as a finance
manager for 5 yrs. In 2007 she was offered a chance
to get into the restoration business. January 2010,
Rebecca joined Chenal Restoration DKI, to join the
Business Development Team.
Rebecca is a single mom of two wonderful kids and enjoys spending her free time with them.
Her family loves to follow the Dallas Cowboys!
Lona Peterson, NALP - Associates Council Co-Chair

University, Lona began her career in the apartment industry in
2006 as Leasing Consultant at The Grove at Pleasant Valley.
In 2007, she advanced her career by accepting a position as
Assistant Manager at Riverwalk Apartments. In the later part
of 2007, she promoted to Regional Marketing Manager with
Steven D. Bell Companies. Lona left the apartment industry
for a short time to pursue a marketing position with a national
restaurant chain. Although she enjoyed that position her heart
led her back to the apartment industry. In 2009, Lona joined
the Bailey Properties team as Area Leasing Coordinator. In
early 2011 Lona created and implemented a digital marketing
and social media plan for Bailey Properties. She has since
then been promoted to Director of Social Media and Training
for the entire Bailey Properties portfolio which includes 19
properties in 3 states.
In her spare time, Lona volunteers on the AAA special events committee, several
committees for CARTI, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Vanguard for the North
Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.
Shatoria Daniels began her career in the industry in 2004 inFayetteville, North Carolina as a Leasing Consultant. Since
then she has held the positions Leasing Consultant, Assistant
Manager, and Property Manager. She is currently the Property
Manager at The Enclave at The Riverfront North Little Rock.
She has been active with the Apartment Association for 5 years
now. She has served as Membership Committee Chairperson,
Secretary, Vice President, President, Education Committee
Chairperson and now Professional Careers and Development
Chairperson. This year she will serve on the Apartment Careers
Committee for the National Apartment Association. Shatoria has
also been a Co-Chair of the Arkansas Multi-Family Housing
Association (AMFHA). In the year 2008, she received her CAM
designation, and in the year 2009, she received her ARM
designation. Shatoria is also a Certified Apartment Manager
and National Association of Leasing Professionals Facilitator for the Association. Shatoria has
received The Pinnacle Award Property Manager of the Year 2008 and also received the
Pinnacle Award Property of the Year 2009 for Capitol Hill Apartments when she was Property
Manager awarded by The Arkansas Apartment Association.
She says "It has been a real pleasure to work with the Association. I am truly blessed to
have the opportunity to serve the industry."
Shatoria is a member of The Junior League of Little Rock, and an active member of
Second Baptist Church. She is married to Roderick Daniels, and they have a handsome
little boy named Cameron!
Chella Stivers, CAM, ARM - Professional Careers & Development Co-Chair
Chella Stivers started her multi-family housing career in 1993 at Briarwood Apartments for
Consolidated Properties, Inc. She began as a weekend Leasing Agent and quickly
worked up to a full time Leasing Agent. Chella earned her Accredited Residential
Manager (ARM) designation in 1995 and was promoted to Assistant Manager. The
property was sold in 1998 and her next step in her career was to a Property Manager
position at Colony West Apartments for Stonemark Management. She was then
promoted to an Area Property Manager for Breckenridge Square and Colony West
Apartments in 1999. She left the property industry in 2003 and worked on the vendor side
of the business for over four years.
She returned to the industry in 2008 with The Lynd Co. She is the Property Manager for
Chapel Ridge of Sherwood where she has received the Presidents Award for Financial
Results, Outstanding Leadership in Community Retention, Excellence in Accounting
Proficiency, and Exception Achievement Property Comparison Review. She was promoted
to a 4 Star Senior Property Manager in August 2010, overseeing several properties in
other states as well as in Arkansas.
Chella has been a part of the Arkansas Apartment Association for 15 years. She earned
her Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation in August 2011. She has served as
the Vice President, Education Chairperson, Membership Chairperson, and Co-Chair of
the Arkansas Multi-Family Housing Association (AMFHA). She is the 2011 President
and Co-Chair of AMFHA.
Shannon Epperson, NALP - Public Relations Chair
Shannon began her career in the apartment industry as a leasing consultant in 1996 at Calais

Alysia Austin, NALP - Public Relations Co-Chair
Alysia Austin began working in Property Management With ERC Management
Company as a Leasing Consultant for Chapel Ridge NLR in 2005. She was
promoted to Assistant Property Manager for Capstone Real-Estate Services in
2006. In November 2007 she transitioned from Chapel Ridge NLR to Bailey
Properties LLC, where she worked as a Leasing Consultant at Overbrook
Apartments for three and a half years. Alysia currently works as a Leasing
Consultant at Calais Apartments for MAA. She is a four time recipient of
the Leasing Consultant of the Year Award through the Arkansas Apartment
Association in the years 2007, 2009, 2010, and also in 2011. Alysia
received an award through Bailey Properties LLC, for Leasing Consultant of
the Year and Top Shop Award in 2009. Under the guidance of Shelley Ellis,
she received her designation of National Apartment Leasing Professional
(NALP) through The National Apartment Association Education Institute, for
fulfilling curriculum requirements and passing a comprehensive examination.
Alysia has been active in the Arkansas Apartment Association since 2009.

difference in the lives of the people you come in contact with everyday."
Jane Gring - Legislative Council Chair
The Arkansas Apartment Association would like to thank
Jane Gring with Cadigan Properties for all of her hard
work and dedication to our organization. Jane has only
the best interests of our members at heart. You will
recognize Jane from all AAA events, she is at the door
welcoming and signing everyone in. Of course she keeps
our organization up to date on all pertinent legislative

F. Alan Lee - Legislative Council Co-Chair
F. Alan Lee, ARM, CAM Candidate- entered the multi-family
industry in October, 2006, as a Leasing Consultant for
Stonebridge at The Ranch with Fogelman Management
Group. Within four months he had been promoted to Assistant
Manager. In January, 2010, Alan joined Bailey Properties,
LLC, as Business Manager for The Waterford Apartment
Homes & Bowman Heights Apartments.
While with FMG, Alan would be recognized with The Arc of
Optimism Award. The Arkansas Apartment Association's
Pinnacle Awards is always an exciting time. In 2007, he was
nominated for Assistant Manager of the Year and would go
on to win the award in 2008! And in 2010 he was nominated
for Manager of the Year. His peers at Bailey Properties, LLC,
would nominate him for Manager of the Year in 2011, as well.
Alan has been active with the Association since 2007. He has served on the Manager's
Council. He received his ARM designation in 2011 and is currently working towards his CAM
designation.
Alan has served on the board of CASA, a foster children's advocacy group. He has been an
Ambassador for the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a founding member
of The Chamber's Create Little Rock organization. Alan is a member of Trinity Episcopal
Cathedral where he serves on the Altar Guild.
Melody DeLone - Managers & Maintenance Council Chair
Melody has been the Community Leader at Napa Valley
Apartments for over a year in West Little Rock under MAA.
Beginning her career with MAA in 2004, Melody was first
a Leasing Consultant at Westside Creek and was promoted
to Support Manager at Calais Apartments in 2008 where
she worked with Abby Youngbauer. In her transition to
becoming Community Leader at Napa Valley in 2010,
Melody assisted MAA with a sister property in Jackson,
Mississippi, for 12 weeks while driving back and forth
from Little Rock to Jackson every week. Currently, Melody
is working on her CAM designation and serving as co-chair for the Manager’s Council with
the Association.

Margaret Maher, CAM, ARM - Education Council Chair
Although Margaret Maher was born and raised in New York, she began her career in Property
Management in the 90’s managing Section 8 Housing in North Carolina. After a brief stint in
Arizona, Margaret and her family came to find Little Rock AR their home in 1999.
Her career portfolio has been comprised of all types of multi-family housing experience and
for the past 10 years has called Colliers International her employment “Home”. Margaret’s
management portfolio, of nearly 1 Million square feet, consists of Multi-Family, Commercial,
Retail, Mini-Storage and Car Wash properties and are located all over the state of Arkansas.
Margaret earned her Real Estate License in 2001, CSSM© in 2007, NALP in 2009, CAM in
2010, ARM® in 2011 and is scheduled to complete her CPM® in 2012.
She has been associated with the Arkansas Apartment Association since 2000 and served
the Co-Chair of the Education Committee in 2011. In 2012 she will serve as the Chair of the
Education Committee.
Margaret has been married to her High School Sweetheart, Tom, for 24 years and has two
incredible children, Amanda – 21 and Thomas 14.
Tonya Jumonville, ARM - Education Council Co-Chair
I grew up in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati, Ohio area. I
moved to Arkansas in 2005 to be closer to family. I am a
proud parent of a 10 year old son.
I have been a resident manager of Hidden Valley Apartments
since June 2006. I was motivated to go into the real estate
industry in the spring of 2006, by result of great timing. My
career up until becoming a resident manager was in the law
enforcement field in Northern Kentucky. I was a police officer
and deputy sheriff for ten years. I moved to Arkansas to be closer to family and wanted to
change my career path. I am a single parent and becoming a parent was a life changing
experience for me.
I have been involved and have participated in the Arkansas Apartment Association. I
have had the opportunity to attend many seminars and events. I have met a wonderful
group of people in the association and I am proud to call them family.
Jennifer Woods - Membership Council Chair
She relocated from Willis, Texas in 2007, with a background in
real estate. She has been with Lexington Park Apartments in
North Little Rock going on four years now. Jennifer and her
husband Bret are expecting their first baby in November 2011.
They are members of New Life Church in Little Rock, and they're
also a member of CREW for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Jennifer has been an active member of the Arkansas Apartment
Association for two years now, and in 2010 she won Manager
of the Year for 201+ Units and Property of the Year for 201+ Units.
She loves serving on the Board and helping people as much as
possible.
Cathy Tuggle - Membership Council Co-Chair
Cathy Tuggle is the Owner and Principal Broker of Tuggle Services, Inc. dba Apartment Hunters and Arkansas Suites since October 1999. Cathy is a native of Haskell, a small community South of Benton where she continues to reside with her husband and high school sweetheart, Paul, and her 14 year old son, Weston. She attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a major in Journalism and quickly established a career in the field of real estate. Cathy has over 20 years experience in the multifamily industry through marketing, training, and property management. Cathy is currently serving on the Executive Board of Directors with the Regional Little Rock Chamber of Commerce as the Chairperson for Small Business, and was appointed as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Wish Council with Make A Wish. Cathy has been involved with the AAA since the creation of the organization where she has served as a chairperson of a variety of committees, as well as multiple Officer Positions including President. She holds two designations through the AAA; CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) and NALP (National Apartment Leasing Professional). Cathy also serves on the Board for the Institute of Real Estate Management. Cathy and her companies participate in fundraising programs for CARTI, UAMS Cancer Research Center, the Ronald McDonald House, Center for Youth and Families, Make A Wish, along with Race for the Cure.
